Hanging out with Pop

Follow-up to the previous post...

This is how Little Man really spent the majority of his weekend - attached to Pop's hip. The kid became distraught a couple of times when Pop rode in a different car; he didn't understand we were caravanning to another location.

Future bartender

Little man became fascinated in red solo cups this weekend. Maybe he'll become a bartender and pay his way through college?

The Jumper

Little Man really likes to jump. Ever since he figured out the idea he'll just jump all over the place. I think it started when he saw Miles jump off our porch, and blossomed from there. Here's an example from early April and then into late April.

And then after I put this video together - I caught him doing this...

That's two steps high. He's tried to go for 3 steps in the basement but he's been reprimanded by his parents. It seems Little Man is quite fearless. Now he just needs some skillful guidance from Uncle David to progress and then turn his passion into scholarship monies.

Little Man is figuring out how to play basketball and is really enjoying it. The weather's been great and it's been fun to get outside to burn some energy.
Little Man will come up to us (oftentimes with a basketball under his arm) and say 'ball', and that's the signal that he wants to go outside and hoop it up.

The Reader

Our boy loves a good book at bedtime. Maybe a little too much...

The Little Man is fascinated with things in the air - planes, helicopters & birds.
The guys were hanging out at the field recently playing soccer & throwing the frisbee when he started to take off. It took me a moment but then I realized he was chasing the birds around the field.
I found it funny, maybe you'll think the same.
And sorry for the shakiness but I was trying to chase Little Man whilst he chased the birds.

He got some work done at the gym but didn't seem to realize. He was quite surprised when he saw himself in the mirror. Also, he was trying to put on my earphones at the time of this picture but there seemed to be some confusion about cheeks vs. ears.

We celebrated the boys' birthdays last weekend with some immediate family members. It was a lovely brunch and featured some delicious Williams cake (hand-delivered from Louisville). The boys were well-behaved and definitely enjoyed all the attention.
