2007 - The Year of Miles

The little guy has hit 9 months here on the 30th and it's been a very exciting time. He's growing quickly and learning a lot. That's how it works right? Well, this is a quick roundup of the highlights that we've seen.

2007 - The Year in Review

It's the end of the year and thoughts naturally turn to what has happened and what is to come. So to fit into that vein, this post is a review of the last year's events (as chronicled through this blog). This post is going to focus on the Lewis family as a whole, and we'll do a separate post just on the star of the blog, Mr. Miles. 2008 - A look ahead

A world of possibility awaits us... Miles will be turning 1 and we have plans for trips to Colorado, Virginia, Indiana, Cayman, and Napa(?). But who knows what God has in store for us...

Here's a moment from Sunday with Miles & Indy. They were checking out the snow and wind through our front window.

We had some cold temperatures here in Chicago and the fierce cold winds dropped us down into negative numbers. But we'll be jumping back up to 40 degrees on Xmas day.

Merry Christmas!

Miles has been enjoying his first yuletide season, thus far. This picture is from Mike's Xmas party and our first encounter with Santa. He did well until Santa put his face next to Miles. We saw the "frowny face" and quickly grabbed him before any crying happened.
Miles has already gotten some nice gifts. He got a singing frog from the Xmas party, some toys from family and the all-important donations to his 529. We'll see what else Santa has in store.

FOM: 'Mama'

Feats of Miles (FOM) for November 2007

It's confirmed, we have a mama's boy. Mr. Miles has said his first word and it was not 'da-da'. We thought it might be a fluke but the stud-boy has repeated the word several times. Oh well, but Andrea's a happy camper.

The context: I was getting ready for work, Andrea was still in bed, and the little man was rustling in his crib starting to wake up. Then we heard a distinctive 'Mama'. Of course Andrea rushed into see Miles and give him a big hug and a kiss. That was a good way to start the day.
